Oxford Road

Having lived in their home for the last 20 years, our client’s children have now left for university and they were looking to refresh and renew their entire home. This would include making some key alterations and essentially future-proof it for the next 30 years. 

The main project scope included the main house being stripped, refreshed and renewed which included a whole new kitchen. Areas of the home were redesigned to function better with the provision of a future lift as well. 

The conservatory to the rear of the main house that opens off of the kitchen area has been replaced, where we formed a contemporary glass extension bringing in plenty of natural light into the kitchen space. 

The project is in a conservation area so consent had to be gained for the removal and replacement of the existing windows on the ground floor corridor connecting the two main parts of the house with 5 tall narrow windows. On the second floor we also removed the existing velux window and placed with with 2 new velux windows. 

The old pool house in the courtyard has been transformed into a gym, cinema and an entertainment space. On the upper floors the bedrooms and en-suites have also been reconfigured and renewed, creating two guest rooms on the top floor.
