We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced interior designer to join us at a senior level and drive forward the Interior Design profile and offer. AURA is an award-winning architecture and interior design firm, working on a range of private and developer-led residential projects across southeast England and beyond. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, innovative approach, and commitment to sustainable design practices.
We are looking for someone who has extensive industry experience, a wealth of industry knowledge and connections, and the outgoing personality to network and nurture those connections, broadening the awareness of AURA as a key player in the residential interior design sector. You should have great leadership and client-facing skills, strong design skills, and a keen awareness of design trends. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite is essential, with experience in Revit and Fholio being a bonus. An interest in the use of AI within the Interior Design space and showcasing projects in VR environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
– Head up the Interior Design of AURA projects, both taking on projects alongside other responsibilities and overseeing projects undertaken by the wider team.
– Develop and present design concepts, space plans, and material selections to clients.
– Collaborate closely with architects to ensure cohesive design solutions.
– Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
– Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering their professional growth.
– Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
– Stay current with industry trends, innovative materials, and sustainable design practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Degree in Interior Design or related field.
– Extensive experience in residential interior design, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
– Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite, with experience in Revit being a bonus.
– Strong portfolio demonstrating skills across a range of private and developer-led residential projects.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills.
– Ability to lead and motivate a team.
– Knowledge of building regulations and sustainability standards.
