This property has a long history with various uses. It was originally two large residential houses. Since then it has been a care home, a home for asylum seekers and, most recently, two houses in private shared rental as houses of multiple occupancy.

Our brief was to maximise the potential of the site for sale to the private market.

To maximise the site’s potential and give our property developer client options, we submitted two main planning applications. The first was to revert it to a pair of semi-detached properties, and then the second one was to convert the property to nine flats.

Both planning applications were approved but the developer moved forward with the nine-unit scheme.

The major works combined a large basement extension to the front half of the property, various single-storey extensions front and back, and changes to the loft to create a large penthouse apartment.

The interiors were designed by the AURA Interiors team, with a sophisticated, calming and timeless aesthetic.
