Toulmin Drive
Our clients came to us in August 2022 with a 4 bedroom semi detached house, wanting to extend the rear of their home to create a large kitchen and dining space, as well as also looking to convert their existing garage into a study space.
In January 2023, we gained planning permission for the demolition of the existing conservatories and construction of a single storey rear extension, extension of the rear patio and garage conversion.
The Design
Our clients liked the idea of something contemporary, and loved the arch window style.
We therefore designed an extension with crittall style arched windows/doors that would open up the space, with enough space for entertaining up to 8-10 guests as requested.
We’ll also put in rooflights on top of each arch, letting even more natural light into the space.
Site Progress
We visited site in August 2024, where the arches the steels have been installed, along with the lintels to form the brick arches. The next step is the Glulam beams to form the roof structure of the rear extension.
